Four armed militia men in a Kodak moment in Beirut’s financial district. It is worth mentioning that during the looting of Beirut’s financial district a world record was broken. The biggest heist in history took place in 1976, when PLO militias bombed their way into the vaults of British Middle Eastern Bank (HSBC). Estimated 250 million in gold, foreign currency and other valuables were stolen.
